Flagler Museum, Palm Beach, Florida
The Flagler Museum opened to the public in 1960. The Museum is housed within Whitehall, Henry Flagler’s Gilded Age estate built in 1902 in Palm Beach, Florida. Designated a National Historic Landmark, the Museum serves visitors from all over the world and offers an active schedule of programs both day and night.
The Education Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and improving all aspects of the Museum’s Education Programming, including tour interpretation, classroom outreach, and public programming. In addition, the position oversees all aspects of the Docent Program including training and scheduling personnel. The Education Manager is also responsible for assisting in Museum-wide Programming as needed.
Must have experience in both classroom teaching and public program development, general interest in cultural arts and history, skilled in big-picture thinking, collaborative and partnership-based program design, and be able to work successfully as a member of a team. The Museum is a smoke-free environment and drug-free workplace and a complete background check will be conducted.
