The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department of the City of Gainesville is looking for a motivated individual to manage the facility rentals program for the Cultural Affairs Division. Prospective candidates should be familiar with facility management, including, but not limited to: facility rental sales, rental contracts, client stewardship, liaison with outside vendors, event and building staff management, venue management and general upkeep, and marketing.
Positions in this classification report to a designated supervisor and work under general supervision.
- Graduation from an accredited high school, or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma; with college course work in Business Administration, Public Relations, Tourism or related field; and four (4) years experience in a related position, which includes at least one (1) year of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Must be proficient in Office365, and have database and point of sale system experience
- Valid Florida Driver's License required at the time of appointment
