Osceola History presents "Votes for Women" program

In observance of the 100th anniversary of women winning the right to vote, Osceola History will present Kathryn Chesley portraying Carrie Chapman Catt as she talks about the Women’s Rights Movement, the development of the League of Women Voters and the Equal Rights Amendment. Catt served as president of the National American Woman Suffrage Association, and is credited with getting the last state to vote to pass the 19th Amendment. The program will be Thursday, November 5 at the Osceola County Welcome Center & History Museum, 4155 W. Vine Street, Kissimmee. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. Seating will be limited for social distancing. The program will be recorded and posted on the Osceola History YouTube channel at a later date.
