Harn Museum Event and Facility Rental Manager

The Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida is seeking an Event and Facility Rental Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the event and facility rental program at the Harn Museum of Art. Promoting the Harn Museum as a venue for university, corporate, not-for-profit, and private events, this position will implement the facility rental program, meeting established revenue goals. The Event and Facility Rental Manager requires a positive attitude and a consistent emphasis on enhancing the visitor’s experience. They are responsible for working with guests, clients, vendors, and other museum staff to ensure successful rental events. Among their responsibilities will be the day-to-day management of the rental program that includes, but is not limited to, scheduling and facilitating the details required for each booking from contracting to production, collaborating with key staff members in the coordination of staff and support services, supervision of rental staff, the dissemination of information concerning facility use and related financial management tasks, and representing the museum in a professional and friendly manner. This position will manage the Harn calendar in booking external and internal events based on the Museum Director’s approval of events. On-sight evening and weekend work will require the manager to be flexible and able to meet changing time commitments. Reporting to the Director of Visitor Engagement, the manager can expect to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, addressing clerical responsibilities, client introductions to the Harn, and daytime events. Additional evening and weekend hours will be added to weekly hours to accommodate event management for up to 40 hours per week total.
