Part-Time Registrar and Collections Specialist

The Palmetto Historical Park preserves the history of Palmetto and the surrounding areas north of the Manatee River by developing exhibits and programming that focus on the city’s history and contributions to our local community. The Palmetto Historical Park boasts an 1880 Post Office, 1920 schoolhouse, 1900s cottage, chapel, military museum, 1914 Carnegie Library and an Archive Center that contribute to the preservation of Palmetto’s history. The Part-Time Registrar and Collections Specialist position is a non-supervisory position reporting to the Supervisor of the Palmetto Historical Park. The primary roles of this position are collections management, documentation, acquisitions, loans, deaccessions, risk management and implementing policies and procedures that relate to collections care.
