Education and Engagement Coordinator

The Palmetto Historical Park preserves the history of Palmetto and the surrounding areas north of the Manatee River by developing exhibits and programming that focus on the city’s history and contributions to our local community. The Palmetto Historical Park boasts an 1880 Post Office, 1920 schoolhouse, 1900s cottage, chapel, military museum, 1914 Carnegie Library and an Archive Center that contribute to the preservation of Palmetto’s history. The Education & Engagement Coordinator performs a critical role in maintaining visitor, membership, and volunteer services; leading promotional and marketing efforts; and assisting in the development and implementation of public programming for the Palmetto Historical Park division of the Historical Resources Department while providing outstanding internal and external customer service. The Education & Engagement Coordinator position is a non-supervisory position reporting to the Supervisor of the Palmetto Historical Park
