The incumbent in this position primarily focusses on the development of exhibit concepts, layouts, and the fabrication of exhibit components, backgrounds and structures. The individual is also responsible for the daily maintenance of the museum’s exhibits including specialized media components, and the storage and organization of exhibits inventory.
Bachelor’s degree in History, Art History, Anthropology, Museum Studies, Graphic Design or related field, with a specialization in exhibit production is preferred or equivalent combination of degrees and experience, with formal training in exhibitory, will be considered. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in handling and/or fabricating museum exhibits, theatrical scenery, or other similar products is preferred. Experience working with graphic programs is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
